The recording of the actual album has now started. We still have the 27 demo's that are in varying stages of completeness to finish. But we're currently on the real stuff now.
After a few teething problems getting the new studio gear synched up and running, we're off to a good start. The first weeks recording was at times slow progress but we have the first song, 'Suicide Girls' finished and mixed. We usually mix last after all the recording is finished, but it's great to have something complete after such a long time!
Yesterday we reset to recording mode and nailed the backing track to another song currently called, 'Princess Six'. We have to sort through all the takes but we think we got the basic track in the bag. Next up we're gonna stick with the same basic sounds and hopefully get the backing track for, 'Keep It In' recorded by tonight.
Rick is currently waiting on a special china cymbal delivery which we need before we go deep on, 'Shattered Glass', the other track we intend to finish completely before we break on July 5th.
