X-clusive: You Could Appear On An Ash Record
Ash and Xfm are staging a competition for unsigned bands to submit cover versions of 
their favourite Ash single, with the winning entry being included on the B-side of a 
future Ash single. The award winning band are planning the release of a special 7'' 
single later in the year and would like to feature a cover version of one of their tracks 
by an unsigned band on the B-side. Bands are asked to choose a song from Ash’s 
forthcoming singles compilation album ‘Intergalactic Sonic Sevens’ (see list below), 
perform it in whatever style they chose, then send their entries on CDR, Mini Disc or 
DAT .to: Ash Covers Competition, PO Box 4226, London, SW6 2XG (deadline for the entries 
is Friday 16th August) Ash will pick the winner, who will be announced on August 27th and
 then invite the lucky band to join them performing the track live on air on the Xfm 
Breakfast Show on August 30th where Ash will be performing 3 tracks from ‘Intergalactic 
Sonic Sevens’ in front of a live audience. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ll put a
 short list of 10 entries (picked by Ash’s record label) here on Xfm Online so that 
listeners will be able to vote for their favourite cover. Christian will also invite listeners to e-mail suggestions of tracks they’d like Ash to cover on the day. The
